In 2015, after Julian finished his studies in mathematics, IT, and economics at the University of Mannheim, he founded Aliru—an IT consulting company specialized in CRM solutions. During that time, he developed IT solutions for corporations and pioneered the implementation of AI to streamline business processes. One of the solutions Aliru developed for a major German corporation was called 'Sally,' originally an AI Sales Assistant (a 'sales ally,' hence the name Sally), which evolved into the Sally platform that exists today.
