Sally's origin story

November 2018

The journey begins

The first version of Sally has little to do with today's powerful AI transcription software. Sally 1.0 was a chatbot that supported sales representatives by asking specific questions about the progress of customer meetings and automatically transferring the answers to the CRM.

This first step laid the foundation for our mission: promoting growth through less bureaucracy.

Screwing, filing, improving

We released Sally for testing for the first time, gathered experience and continued to develop our platform.

We realized that we still had a long way to go - but at the same time we knew that Sally offered real added value!

There's more to it

By using Sally at Freudenberg, we have significantly improved CRM user behavior. The feedback was positive, but it also showed that sales employees want more than a chatbot - they want a real assistant.

This insight led us to further develop Sally into an intelligent, supportive companion.

We get the ball rolling

Sally has been integrated even more intelligently and seamlessly into CRM systems. With the new version, it was possible to prepare appointments efficiently for the first time by using AI to gather relevant customer information and provide it in a clear and concise manner.

This version laid the foundation for today's core functions, such as summarizing appointments or recognizing tasks arising from meetings.

AI hype - and we were right in the middle of it

Artificial intelligence was on everyone's lips. While many were just talking about it, we were already actively involved with our own AI assistant.

We knew that the market was now ready for our solutions, but we also knew that it would take a while for people to familiarize themselves with the new technology: It would take a while for people to familiarize themselves with the new technology. Simplicity and real added value therefore always had to take center stage.

Manual notes are now history

The focus on efficiency led us to develop the meeting assistant into an AI transcription tool. Sally now automatically transcribes meetings and handles the follow-up, so users never have to take manual notes again, making it accessible and easier to use for small and medium-sized companies.

Unser Gründer Julian Kissel gründete als renommierter Microsoft- & CRM-Experte 2015 das Unternehmen, das bis heute hinter Sally SalesAI steht: Aliru.

Seine Mission: Komplexe Vertriebsprozesse von Unternehmen auf einfache und effektive Weise im CRM abzubilden, um so die Verkaufsziele mühelos zu erreichen - mit Erfolg.

Seit jeher verwirklichte er für Unternehmen wie Freudenberg, Deutsche Bahn oder Lichtblick Milliardenumsätze, indem er deren Vertriebsstrategien optimierte und effizient umsetzte.

Nach monatelanger Arbeit entstand Sally 1.0

Getrieben von der Mission, entstand die erste Betaversion von Sally. Sally fing als kleiner Chatbot an, der bei der Erstellung von Besuchsberichten half, indem er nach einem Meeting relevante Fragen zum Termin stellte. Die Antworten der Außendienstler wurden direkt in das CRM eingepflegt.

Der Vorteil: Durch Sally vergisst man keine relevante Themen mehr in das Besuchsbericht einzupflegen, da die KI kundenspezifische Fragen stellte, was zu einer höheren Datenqualität führte.

Die Resultate des Projektes bei Freudenberg und unsere Learnings

Nach der Implementierung bei Freudenberg haben wir intensiv analysiert und wertvolle Erkenntnisse gewonnen. Obwohl wir die Nutzung des CRMs steigern konnten, stellten wir fest, dass viele Außendienstler keinen konkreten Mehrwert in Sally sahen. Die Herausforderung bestand darin, einen klaren Nutzen zu schaffen und Zeitersparnis zu bieten. Diese Erkenntnis trieb uns an, Sally zu einem umfassenden Tool weiterzuentwickeln, das nicht nur Daten sammelt, sondern den Arbeitsalltag der Außendienstmitarbeiter erleichtert.

Februar 2022

Wir nehmen Kurs auf die aktuelle Sally Version.

Im Februar 2022 hatten wir einen bahnbrechenden Moment. Unser Team erkannte die Möglichkeit, Besuchsberichte nicht mehr manuell verfassen zu müssen. Die Idee, Sally in Meetings zu integrieren, um Gespräche präzise zu transkribieren und Agendapunkte automatisch festzuhalten, war geboren. Diese Idee wurde durch die Erkenntnis beflügelt, dass bisherige Tools nur in der englischen Sprache gut funktionierten. Unser Team mobilisierte all sein Wissen und Know-how, um diese Vision in die Realität umzusetzen. Dabei entstand die Idee zum Premium Transkriptions-Tool, das nicht nur Besprechungen mitschreibt, sondern auch als hochwertiges Tool dient, um Meetings produktiver zu gestalten.

Bis dato nutzen über 25.000 Vertriebsmitarbeiter weltweit Sally SalesAI und optimieren damit ihre administrativen Tätigkeiten. Aliru, die Firma hinter Sally, zeichnet eine Mitarbeiterzahl von über 25 eifrigen Mitarbeitern, die Sally stetig optimieren.
